Does My Boiler Need to be Fitted on an External Wall?
Your boiler should ideally be located on or next to an external wall, which will allow any waste gases to escape safely and easily outside through the flue duct. Because of government regulations, the flue needs to be placed around 30 to 60cms away from any openings where air can enter your home from outside, such as windows or doors.
Other factors to consider when deciding on the best location for your boiler is how close you want it to be to household appliances that use hot water — the nearer they are to your boiler, the faster it will be able to reach them.
