Now, with the ongoing ease of restrictions, we are following government guidelines and have taken measures in order to safely install, repair and maintain your boiler during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Our employees, engineers and installers will continue to offer support, look after your home and provide you with hot water and heating during these uncertain times, keeping you safe and warm.
Diagnosing the Problem
Thanks to our proprietary Ideal technology, we may be able to diagnose your boiler issues without visiting your home. Using chat and video call functions through services like Facebook and WhatsApp, we can take a closer look while keeping you safe at home. This also makes it more convenient for you.
Preparing Your Home
Before arriving at your home, we will ask if anyone in your household is in a vulnerable category or currently displaying symptoms. We will also ask you to prepare your home by clearing walkways and providing plenty of working space.
While Your Engineer is Working
When the day of your appointment arrives, make sure to maintain social distancing with your engineer(s). Although we provide all our engineers with PPE, we recommend isolating in a separate room while work is being completed.
Paying Independent Installers
For peace of mind, our Ideal engineers will never take payments in your home. However, if you need to use an independent installer, you need a safe way to pay. Where possible, try to use contactless methods such as electronic transfer and contactless cards — we recommend avoiding cash in order to reduce contact.
