We’d like to give you an insight into a fantastic day of celebration and fun held here at Ideal Boilers following our achievement of winning two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
We were thrilled to welcome the Queen’s representative to our Hull headquarters as part of an event to celebrate being the only business in Yorkshire to scoop two 2019 Queen's Awards!
We were presented with two trophies recognising our outstanding achievements in both innovation and international trade by the Lord Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Dame Susan Cunliffe Lister.
Ideal Boilers is one of just six companies nationally to win two trophies at this year’s awards, which celebrate excellence in four areas: innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.
The Lord Lieutenant was joined by the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull, Councillor Steve Wilson, at our HQ on National Avenue for the awards ceremony and a day of celebrations which saw all employees enjoying afternoon tea and games.
As the only boiler manufacturer that designs, develops and manufactures all of its products in the UK, we have become renowned for energy efficiency, reliability and simplicity of use.
The judges assessing the innovation category singled out Ideal Boilers’ “manufacturing process that transforms the reliability of its boilers and enables it to extend its warranties to up to 12 years”, which is unique within the industry.
Similarly, those assessing the international trade entry praised us for growing overseas sales by 332% in the past six years.
International markets where notable successes have been achieved – in both domestic and commercial sales – include Ireland, Italy, Turkey and Spain.
