Big Energy Saving Week takes place from 26-30th October 2015 and was devised by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Energy Saving Trust and Citizens Advice. The campaign aims to help energy consumers take practical steps to cut their energy bills by encouraging them to check they are on the best deal, to switch tariff or supplier and to save energy by taking control of their heating.
Research carried out by the University of Salford for the British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers (BEAMA) controls group, shows that energy consumption by home heating systems can be reduced by up to 40% through the installation of a room thermostat and thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), with installation costs recovered in around a year. Ideal Boilers manufactures a wide range of heating controls to work with all its boilers- click here to see our full range.
The campaign also highlights other ways to save money on heating bills with great tips including the best ways to insulate a house, the most efficient way to use a heating system and little tricks to reduce heat loss, such as drawing curtains when it gets dark.
We are proud to support the campaign and help our customers save money.
Our YouTube channel also features videos on energy saving, covering topics such as how to bleed your radiators. https://www.youtube.com/user/IdealHeatingLtd
