Introducing the Vogue Max System
The Logic Max is one of Ideal Heating’s range of system boilers, which works with a separate hot water cylinder and provides central heating and hot water to your household. This high quality model is made with premium components and materials, and this handy guide will help you keep it in the best working condition.
The Vogue Max System comes complete with one of our Ideal System Filters. This component prevents impurities building up in the water that passes through it, helping to make it even more efficient.
The Vogue Max System Boiler’s Controls
The image below shows the functions of the knobs and displays on the Vogue Max System’s control panel.
You’ll find it useful to refer back to this explanation both on this page and in the full boiler user guide.
Operating Your Vogue Max System Boiler
When your thermostat calls for central heating to be supplied to your home, your boiler will provide heat when the “off/on” control (E) has been set to ‘on’ and the Central Heating Temperature Control (D) is turned fully clockwise.
When these conditions are met, your Vogue Max System will also provide the heat that’s needed to power the hot water system for your taps, baths and showers. The temperature of your hot water is controlled by the independent cylinder thermostat.
If you find the boiler pump runs unexpectedly, bear in mind it will run automatically for a brief period if it has not been operated in the previous 24 hours. This is a feature that has been designed to prevent your boiler from seizing up.
Managing Low Water Pressure
The pressure gauge on your boiler controls (F) will help you stay aware of the pressure of your central heating system, including times where it may experience loss of pressure. If the gauge indicates the Vogue Max System has fallen below the original installation pressure of (1.0-1.5 bar), turn to page 9 of the full user guide for instructions on how to repressurise your boiler.
If you are unable to follow the instructions or find the pressure continues to drop, you should consult a Gas Safe-registered engineer.
Fault Guide
If you find that your boiler is displaying a fault code, there’s no need to panic. It will automatically provide suggestions on how to resolve the issue, making troubleshooting for your Vogue Max System simple.
As an extra resource, you can also use the information below if you ever encounter any fault messages. Where a page number is mentioned, this refers to the full PDF user manual.
Cleaning and Maintenance
To help your boiler look its best at all times, you can dust it with a dry cloth on a regular basis. If you’re having trouble with a difficult mark or stain, wipe your boiler down using a damp, non-abrasive cloth before finishing it off using a dry cloth.
The Vogue Max System will work most efficiently if you have it serviced at least once annually. This task must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and will help to make sure your boiler remains in great condition for years to come.
Actions to Take If You Suspect a Gas Leak
If you ever believe there may be a gas leak in your home, contact the National Gas Emergency Service immediately by calling them on 0800 111 999.
In this situation, you should not switch any electrical switches on or off and ensure that any naked flames are extinguished. You can also help to ventilate your home of fumes by opening windows and doors in your property.
